I disagree with this, there is not better marketing than Harmony investing a lot of money in you. It means that a proved, important actor in the cryptosphere believes a lot in the proyect and not only demostrate with words, but also with money. I would go for the higher end of the deal (500k) if im given the chance

I would definitely try to work out the deal, however, try to get that discounted price of tokens down. I think 1-5% would still be a good investment for them. Afterall, they’re the ones who need projects to build. You could have chosen any blockchain to build on. You chose Harmony. You have all the leverage! Love the project!

Thanks for responding and sharing your thoughts. You make a great point about Harmony being a “proved, important actor.” There’s no doubt that their influence and support would only do great things. But at the higher end of the deal, they’d have 50% of the treasury, giving them an overwhelming controlling interest in the project because if I’m remembering correctly, CLNY will also be a governance token when the DAO is implemented. My thoughts are that we would want the treasury to be the largest holder of CLNY by far; that will likely ensure the community – who controls the treasury – has the most significant impact on governance decisions when the DAO and governance through CLNY are implemented. I’ll note, though, that it is pretty unlikely that Harmony would ever act against the community/project in any governance events; they’re well-intentioned actors in my book. But still, the idea of the treasury holding onto that influence…well, I think it is something we – the community – should preserve. Therefore, I’m still in support of no more than 20% of treasury being allocated to deal (which I’m excited about nonetheless). I appreciate you sharing your point of view, though. I agree with everything you said and I don’t deny that the Harmony team should be incentivized to help. However, don’t you think 20% off is a little much? They’re helping build the Harmony ecosystem. The bigger this thing gets, the more valuable the tokens will be AND the Harmony community will grow because of it. I’m not quite sure why there needs to be such a reduced rate. By the way, I think this partnership would be incredible. I personally love Mars Colony.

I’m in favor of this but also try to get more money from Harmony Grants in order to hire more team members and get things delivered quicker. We are in a run with other projects and we need to deliver value fast. I’m very invested and bullish on this project, 105 plots and every CLNY earned burned in upgrades. So let’s evolve and grow!
