i love the additional concepts. We need an idea to replace the war part of the equation maybe … that is what everyone does. Something that would encourage creative problem solving to the above challenges rather than stealing it or going to war… Maybe Mars can be a new way to resolve conflict … It could happen !

Hm.
First off, great work. Your creativity is admirable.
Be careful what you wish for, though. Having been to Arrakis myself, I can testify that worms are nothing to take lightly. That said, at the moment, there’s no way to know for certain that Mars doesn’t have subterranean worms.
Second, the full history of Martian colonization isn’t clear. You might be right, but it’s gonna take some digging to find out. Let’s just hope we don’t run into any worms while we’re doing so.
